WINDSOR RACING IMPROVES.WITH AGE. Two-year-olds In a Hot Finish Jockey Martin Will Recover Sailor Knot Destroyed. Detroit, Mich., June IS. The racing today at Windsor was the best seen in a long time. The weather was warm and the track lightning fast. The crowd was an improvement over the one of yesterday. Three favorites won and the other winners came from the rank of well backed second choices. The card today had for its feature a steeplechase handicap over the short course. There were only four starters and only two finished the course without mishaps. The fifth race for maiden two-year-olds Irpved to be the best; race of the day, the finish Av1is;okVclosand betwecn,the lirst five horses that they came to the wire almost on even terms. Maxton from the Gcrst barn received the long, end of the purse and ran an excellent race. v Jockey A. Martin, who was injured yesterday, is resting easy at the hospital. His injuries are not as serious as reported and it is probable that he will again be seen in the saddle next week. Starter Dwyer has put .Merry George, Bon Mot, Moxey Meade and Padrone on the schooling list. Sailor Knot, a highly tried jumper, belonging to J. Clay, was injured in coming down from Hamilton in the car and had to be destroyed. A. L. Poole, J. Ilimy, Mrs. Dayton and the remainder of the Pasadena Stable arrived today from Hamilton. Peter Sterling will be a certain starter in the Queen City Handicap and will be shipped to Cincinnati after his race tomorrow.
