Dcnham, showing tho most speed, raced into a long lead from the start and never left the result in doubt, winning as his rider pleased. Frontenac ran in close pursuit of Deuham for a half, then tired and had to be hard ridden to save second place. Wexford began slowly, but closed a big gap and finished gamely. Gold Pin showed a smart performance for a first time out, is a grand looker and will probably develop into a crackcrjack. Tickle quit badly after going a half. Scratched 70312 Charlie Eastman, 110. Sam Parmer ran into the lead when called on and won with plenty in reserve. Kilmorie fenced cleanly and went well throughout. Dr. Heard was repeatedly taken back and. when called on, failed to respond well and finished lame. Roderick ran away to a false start, unseated Boyle and ran riderless until caught, then tired in the race after showing much early speed. Aules blundered repeatedly. Flying Plover was hopelessly beaten at the fourteenth jump and was pulled up. Battle Creek fell after going over the see-ond hedge. rrVQrf THIRD RACE 1 1-8 Miles. 572921:521397. Chauida trailed far bijck for the first three-quarters, moved up fast thereafter and, saving much ground when turning into the stretch, won going away. Henry O., probably best, suffered from much interference and was forced extremely wide on the stretch turn and finished fast. Matabon showed much improvement under vigorous handling. Peter Knight tired in the last quarter- and Shilling devoted his attention to roughing Henry O. Jupiter ran fairly well. Charlie Thompson ran a bad race and far below his recent form. Grande Dame outclassed the others, but had to be best to win, acted green at the post and lunged when urged forward, causing her to be practically left, then showed a high fiight of speed and. wearing down Aquiline in the stretch, won well in hand. Aquiline, away like a Hash, opened a long lead in the first quarter, but tired when Grande Dame drew level witli her. Tomnabat had 110 mishaps and was outclassed here. Sir Cyril, running in improved form and clear of interference, raced forwardly for the first half and, wearing down Lady Ermy in.the last furlong, had enough in reserve to stall off Frcscati. The latter, much the best, was away slowly mid closcd a big gap, but could not quite get up. McQuiddy had a rough trip and came from a long way back In the last quarter. Gilvedear tired In the stretch. L. C. Widrig had no mishaps. Lady Ermy quit badly after showing the most speed for a half. Giovanni Uaggio went wide all the way and can do much better. Lord Dixon, In good form at present, was restrained to the stretch turn, where he wore Merry George down and won drawing clear. Careless ran a good race, closing a- big gap and finishing with a rush. Merry George acted badly at the post, but showed much speed, raced Lizzie McLean into defeat in the first hair, but tired near the end. Chippewa began slowly and was forced to go wide most of the way. Tyrolian quit badly after going a half. Excitement ran poorly. The winner was entered for 000; no bid. Dele Strome, much the best, was shuttled back at the start and but for going wide into the stretch would have won. Glena MacBride ran a good race and was also going-well at the end. Bathmaria tired after forcing the pace for the first three-quarters. Zelina showed the most eariv speed and quit badly in the last furlong. Alsouo ran a bad race. The winner was entered for S000: no bid. Scratched 09715 Plaud, 97; 70342 Rcina Swift, 90. Overweights Dele Strome, 2 pounds.
