FORSYTHE HAS 23 YEARLINGS. Lexington, Ky., August 12. The twenty-three yearlings which will be raced next season by F. A. Forsythe are expected to arrive at the Kentucky Association track from the farm near Har-rodsburg at an early date to be broken and trained. Such noted mares as Annie Thompson, Kinda, Fairy Dell, Levee and Rosinante have colts or fillies by Oddfellow among these yearlings, and there is also a full-sister to Fountainblue in the collection. The pick of the lot are entered in all the big produce stakes for 190S. Flora Mac, the dam of Charles Edward, also the dam of Jacobite, was bought in by J. 15. naggin at the closing out sale of his Itancho del Paso Stud In New York December, 1903, for .,050. She is now only twelve years old and is at Elmendorf Stud. The new record breaker Is the result of the mating under the Bruce Lowe figure system, of a No. 2 sire to a No. 4 mare. Charles Edwards grandam. Flora Macdonald, was brought to this country in 1SS7 with foal to The Hake, which horse was also later imported. Her foal proved the stake winner, Dundee. 15. L. Baker, on behalf of the late breeding firm of Baker and Gentry, and to prevent any litigation, lias returned money paid for seasons to St. George for 1905. Of the large number bred to him only two mares proved in foal, and since he was sold to John E. Madden; St. George has proved practically Impotent, The famous sire of The Friar and Lucien Appleby therefore, Is now a pensioner at Hamburg Place.
