Beatrice IC, off forwardly, rushed, to the front before they had gone a sixteenth and. setting a fast pace all the way, raced Grace Kimball to defeat in the first half and drew away to win in a canter. Bathniaria began slowly and was outrun In the first quarter and forced to work her way up on the outside, but responded gamely to punishment and easily disposed of the others. Cyclops, full of life In the paddock and very warm when going to the post, showed more speed than usual and finished fast, then ran a.vay a l-iile and a half after the race. Deil Loath outjumped and outran bis opponents all the way and was only cantering through the lat fur long. Tony Hart moved up fast when going to the eighth jump and made a determined effort, but tired in the lat quarter. Dawson wore Goldenway down in the last turn of the field and easily disposed of tho latter in the last furlong. Goldenway showed much speed for the first time around, lint tired badly in the last half mile. Flying Plover fell at the first jump, while Ralph Reese unseated his rider at the same jump. Kevei-y left the barrier witii his usual burst of speed and opened a winning lead before they had gone an eighth, maintained a fast pace all tho way and had his opponents soundly beaten when entering the lioim-stictcli. Fandango was a forward contender all the way, but was forced to stand a hard drive to stall off the challenge of Kitty Smith in the stretch. The latter got off forwardly, but was sharply cut off before they had gone a sixteenth, then found an opening next to the inside rail after entering the homestretch and finished gamely. Lady Ermy and Bayou Lark finished fast and close up. Toinnabat ran a bad race. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Fantastic was outbroke and outrun for the first half mile, but wore the leaders down on the turn into the stretch, where she came to the outside, displayed rare gameness in tho stretcli drive .and. wearing Charlie Gilbert down, .lust managed to get up in the last stride. Charlie Gilbert was made entirely too much use of in racing Charlie Eastman into defeat, set a terrific pace in the early running and tired at the end. Trackless hail a very rough trip, was sharply cut off soon after the start and in a pocket until well around the far turn, where she was taken to the outside, caught the leaders tiring in the stretch run and, finishing witli a great burst of speed, won going away. J. AV. ONeill began quickly anil forced Ay--AVater to set a terrific early pace, was bumped about in the stretch run, but hung on gamely under punishment. Bazil met with repeated interference early and was 011 the outside until well around the far turn, where he slipped through on the inside and finished fast. Frank Collins and Slonere ran good races.
