Katlier Royal was outrun for tlie first half, but finished resolutely under punishment and barely jaded to get up. Toddles refused to join the others at the barrier and stumbled and went to her knees In the first sixteenth, then closed a big gap and finished with a rush. Ken Strong showed the most early speed, but ran out on the turn to the homestretch. Beatrice K. and Grace Kimball were speedy, but quit in the stretch drive. Terah ran well, but stumbled a couple of times in the stretch and requires a stronger rider than he had up today. Lady Elkiiorn ran well and forwardly throughout and outstayed Prescati for third place. The latter finished fast. Osmunda ran poorly. Giovanni Raggio showed speed. Excitement was bumicd into and crowded back on the turn into the backstretch, but moved up rapidly in the homestretch and was eased up at the finish. Denigre ran on the outside until making the turn into the home-stueteh and finished gamely under the whip. Reticent linished fast. Haltou ran well to the stretch, then quit badly.
