HARRIS LAW SUIT AGAINST LATONIA. Cincinnati. O., September 27. Manager narvey Myers, of the La ton h race track, is at Frankfort. Ky., where arguments in the Harris case against the present Latonia owners are being heard by Judge Cochran. Harry Harris was a member of the Applegate syndicate, which purchased the controlling interest in the Latonia Jockey Club from George G. Perkins in 1S95: 0,000 cash was paid and the stock was held as security for the rest of it, which was payable In notes falling due semi-annually. The track lost money, the notes were not paid and in 1S99 or the early part of 1100 the stock was sold for the amount due G. G. Perkins. The latter bought the stock back. This sale was set aside by the courts and the stock returned to Applegate, who had to pay about 00,000 interest and principal due. Then Mr. Harris sued for his share of the stock held 13 Applegate, who was the trustee of the syndicate. Other members . of the syndicate were Ed Hopper. Henrr Ziegler. Charles Bollinger. Mark Simonton, Bill Bolander and Henry Wehmhoff.
