Goes Fast broke slowly and dropped in behind the leaders until on the turn into the homestretch, where she dashed to the front and drew away in the last furlong to win cantering. Giles, outrun for the first half, finished with a rush after making a wide turn into the homestretch and outgained Ketchemike. The latter outbroke the others and set a fast early pace, but tired in the last quarter. Salvage showed speed, but tired as if short. Scratched 70002 Coltness, 112. Blulcen. off forwardly. ran well up witli the leaders until straightened out in the homestretch and, finishing gamely under punishment, just managed to outstay Our Boy in the final drive. The latter came again in the last sixteenth and finished catching the winner. Gene Wood was much used in setting the early pace and tired under punishment in the stretch. Sophomore finished close up. Taunt, off forwardly, dashed around on the outside on the turn into the homestretch and then cut across to the inside, saved ground all the way and, after racing Master Lester into defeat, drew away in tjie stretch run. Lady Karma was crowded back on the first turn, but finished fast and gamely under pun- ishment and shook off Master Lester in the last furlong. The latter showed speed, but was unable to shake off Taunt in the early stages and tired at the end. Gold Note was repeatedly cut off and interfered with. Frank Collins, bumped about and interfered with at the start, came through on the inside when entering the homestretch and finished with a rush. Herman Johnson was a game contender all the way, but tired under punishment in the last furlong. Akbar was caught In the barrier when the start came. J. W. ONeill quit. Hancock ran well. Escutcheon had to bump his way through at the start, but moved up with a great burst of speed on the far turn and, catching Cousin Kate tiring, drew away after entering the homestretch, then had to be ridden out at the end to stall off Ida Reck. The latter was outrun for the first three furlongs, but came fast in the stretch run and outgamed Cousin Kate. Cousin Kate showed superior early speed, but tired in the stretch. Paul Clifford ran a dull race. The winner was entered for 1907.sh00; no bid. Sam Bernard finished with great spsed after coming through on the Inside when entering the homestretch, but too late. Blue Buck ran well. First Mason, Rebounder and The Englishman all quit after showing superior early speed. The winner was entered for 1907.sh00; no bid. Overweights Flaviguy 2 pounds.
