Viper-ine, away well and well handled, followed close up in the early stages, although under restraint, and, finishing fast when called on, came away to win with plenty in reserve. Bonebrake, away slowly and suffering from interference in the early stages, had a rough trip but, responding gamely to punishment, wore down Conperfield In the last sixteenth. Copperfield showed speed, but tired as if short. McChord, poorly ridden, was cut off several times and in a yocket most of the way and can do much better. Outre Shot broke well and followed Czar close up to the stretch turn, where she ran into the lead and won under mild restraint. Czar ran n good race for a liew beginner and stayed well in the final drive. Vista had no mishaps and was never seriously menaced after the start for third place. Peoria, showing improved form, ran well and was going fast at the end. Caltha closed a big gap steadily. Ogbent tired after going three furlongs. Pink Cap acted fractiously at the post. Mike Sutton was lven a listless ride and can do much better. Bitter Miss quit after going a good half. Stella-land was never prominent. Slade feifeed well and showed much speed under poor riding, swerved badly at, the stretch hurdle, enabling Full of Fun to momentarily get into the lead, but finished gamely and won out in the last few strides. Full of Fun forced the pace in the early stages, but tired in the closing drive. Blue Pirate ran a bad race, was badly outrun in the early stages, but moved up gamely In the stretch and finished with a rush. Sraeeland feficed well and showed speed while going through the field, but tired In the stretch and was probably short. Class Leader had no mishaps and can do much better. Lady Esther, showing improved form and saving much ground when turning into the stretch, came away in the last furlong and won eased up, Deutschland set or forced a fast pace from the start, raced Hanni-biu Bey into subjection and hud enough in reserve at the end to outstay Convolo. The latter, away slowly and weakly ridden, can do much better. Frontenac was sharply cut off after going a quarter, came fast when clear and would have been closer up witli less interference. Hannibal Bey. after showing much fpeed, began running out on the stretch turn and then swerved to the inner rail. True AVing acted badly at the post and was practically left, but showed a good flight of speed In racing into a contending position and ran a winning race. Lady Carol was outclassed here. Lycurgus, on Funiculaire, appeared to be In a trance and allowed the others to get almost a furlong in front before he made an effort to set sail sifter thciu. Scratched 71017 Usury, 102. Shining Star appeared sore when going to the post, but followed close up all the way and stayed well in lhe final drive. Suzanne Rocamora, also showing sudden improvement, closed a big gap fdoadily and finished with a rush. Scalplock appeared gaunt and out of form. Warning, under poor riding, ran fairly well. Komoka ran fairly well. Charlatan propped at the barriers rise and was practically left at the post. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
