Jerry Wernlierg lias decided to put his mare Druid by for the season. She was cut down in her last race at Brighton, although the injury may not permanently incapacitate her for racing. After trainer Bill Phillips of the Cook stable had rounded np the various bunches of yearlings he had bought in many places, there are forty-nine to be fed and cared for all winter in the stable at Nashville.
