SHILLING BRED AS A RIDER. Cincinnati. O., October 0. "Shilling is the best horse in mj barri," said B. L. Thomas, after his jockey had won the first three races Monday. Mr. Thomas went a bit further and said that Shilling was worth more than all his horses put together. "If there Is anvthing in breeding that boy is bred to be a jockey," said he. "nis father was a race rider, and so was his grandfather and all of his brothers. Ills brother was killed at New Orleans, .and when 1 secured tlie contract from his mother it was stipulated by her that the boy should not ride at New Orleans."
