Ovelando, running to his best form and away in a good position, was a forward contender from the start and, wearing Colloquy down gradually in the stretch run, got up in the closing strides. Colloquy showed her usual high flight of early speed, but tired near the end under her impost. Lens, away in a tangle, poorly ridden and kept too far back in the early stages, finished fast, but swerved badly under punishment. Frontenac tired after going a half and can do much better. Cygnet ran fairly well. The others were beaten off and never serious factors. Scratched 093C32La Pucelle. 105. Hollow, away fast, forced the pace in the early stages, wore the early leaders down after going a quarter and, taking tile lead, stood the final hard drive gamely and lasted just long enough. Ed Kane, away in a tungle and suffering from interference, finished with a rush and would have won in a few more strides. Inauguration had no mishaps and was right there all the way. Catherine F. came from a long way back and, with a better send-off, would have been a sharp factor. Pleasant View Belle tired after early piora-iiiiiice. Lady Vie quit in the last half. Light-3 ing Conductor, showing suddenly improved form and much speed, was a forward contender from the start and took the lead after going a quarter, but tired in the stretch and barely managed to last it out. Land l;ueze, also showing improvement, gained steadily after saving ground when coming into the stretch and would have won in a few more strides. Posing was in constant trouble all the way, finished fast when clear and was going gamely at the end. Xifo ran fairly well and had no mishaps. Dulcinea quit after going a half. Old Colony showed a brief flash of speed, but tired fast in the stretch. Lady Carol suffered irom much interference. The winner was entered for 000; no bid. Won driving; second and third the same, uer.tschland. away fast and showing much speed, took the lead after going a quarter and, maintaining his speed well, set a fast pace and, although tiring in the stretch run, had enough in reserve to stall off Convolo. The latter, showing improved form, came with a rush through the stretch. Granada, meeting interference and away stumbling and forced to go wide into the stretcli to secure clear sailing, finished gamely and was probably best. Prince Ahmed ran a good race, showed ranch speed and held on well with l.Vutschland for the first three-quarters. Lady Esther came fast near the end after being a distant trailer in the early stages. Miss Strome had no mishaps and tired in the last quarter. Carew was knocked back on the first turn, but lacked speed and can do better. Stone-nan, poorly ridden, ran a good race and finished dose up. Albert Star, badly outpaced from the start, closed a big gap. although going wide. Warner Griswell, showing the most speed all the way, raced his competitors into defeat in the first three-quarters and came away to win as his rider pleased. Rose of Pink ran forwardly throughout and stayed well in the stretch drive. Donna Elvira, away in a tangle, followed close up for the first three-quarters, hut tired and barely lasted long enough to hold third -place. Lacache closed a big gap in the last quarter and would have been third in another stride. Quagga ran fairly well. Prytania ran a bad race and can do better. The winner was entered for 800; no bid.
