CAPITAL RACE IN PROSPECT. One of the recently closed Aqueduct stakes affords opportunity for a truly great race. This is the Edgemere Stakes. It is a dash of a mile and an eighth at weight for age and has among its nominations such cracks of the present year as Running Water, Ballot, Glorifier, Charles Edward, Ncalon, Brookdale Nymph and McCarler, to say nothing of such other comparatively minor stars as Blue Book, Kentucky Beau, Yankee Girl, Tourenue, Beacon 1 Light, Right Royal, Bedouin, Running Account, Mainchance, Go Between and Ironsides. The whims 1 of owners often spoil what appears a grand prospect 011 paper and such may prove the case here, - but there Is at least the chance for a race worthy of any track in the land.
