RHODORAS DEWHURST PLATE. London, October 31. At Newmarket today the Dewhurst Plate at seven furlongs for two-year-olds was won hy Richard Crokers filly, Rhodora, with King Edwards lerrier second and Little Cdbse third. Rhodora was an outsider in the betting, at 100 to 7, but was much the best in the race. Kluylora is a half-sister "to the Derby winner, Orby, and is a big, rangy, magnificent-appearing filly of high class. She won her first race, the Cadogau Plate, at Leoparifstown, Ireland, defeating: a good colt named Tenicrairc. In her second race,! the W.aferford Testimonial Stakes, at the Curragb, she ran second to Tenicrairc, but was giving the; latter eleven pounds besides sex allowance. Taken to England she ran a tremendous race with While. Eagle for the rich National Breeders Produce Stakes at Saiiilown, and, while beaten a, short head, the race was so severe in its effects that White Eagle probably hist form from it. Rhodora ran unplaced for the Middle Park .Plate, won by Lesbia, : at the Newmarket Second October meeting, but bad: been coughing and little was expected from her. The race probably benefited her, and she must have been at her best in the Dewhurst.
