Marian Casey, from a Hying start, established an early big lead, but finished tiring badly and was lucky to win. Friar of Elgin broke slowly, but got into quick pursuit of the pacemaker nnu was wearing her down fast at the end. San Gil ran prominently for a half mile, then tired and was short. Last Go, away poorly, closed up steadily. Lady Bache showed early speed. Sombro, a fine looker, has worked fast, but broke and ran green, was virtually left and is very promising. Brattain, oft close up, was slniillled steadily rearward, but gained rapidly In the stretch. Whiskers, away very badly, made up much ground. Ulctma, too small to carry heavy weight, showed early speed. Pelhani set tha pace, but is a quitter and fell back rapidly in the stretch. The winner was entered for 00;- no bid. All Ablaze, away badly, trailed in the early running, but closed an Immense gap in the last half and got up to win drawing clear. Remember helped force the pace throughout and finished a very game second. Vinton figured gamely and swiftly as one of the pacemakers from start to finish. Big Store, close up early, was pulled up repeatedly and finished witli a belated rush. St. Albans was gaining at the end. Huerfano, big. heavy-headed and short, tired right at the end and will improve. Palemoii quit as if short. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Silver Stocking, from a flying start, threatened to spreadeagle the otiiers. but quit suddenly right at the end. Proper, well up, but outpaced, kept coming and finished a game third in a whirlwind finish and improvement can be expected. Rifleman, crossed at tin? start and nearly left, closed a big early gap and then gave way, was short and is very promising. Rapid Water, outpaced badly, was sore, but closed up well at the end. Sahara, shut off on the first turn, dashed through Into the lead on the inside and appeared all over the winner in the stretch, but succumbed finally after a game effort, tsabelita dropped back at the start, then closed a big gap and ran a cracking race. Redwood II., excessively urged into a long early lead, failed to stay. Chancellor Walworth ran well up for seven furlongs. Lord of the Vale has become a pronounced non-stayer. Blondy, poorly ridden, loomed up menacingly mid-1 way of the stretch, but was crowded out at a critical moment and pulled up. Creston was worn out in racing with the favorite and quit very badly. Ocean Shore is rounding to and finished well up.
