FEWER LAYERS AT WASHINGTON. New York, November 15. There will be nothing like the number of layers of odds go to Washington for the meeting there that have gone in other years, mainly on account of the scarcity of real money. Every day the ring has been tighter, and certified checks are almost worthless so far as the holder being able to get them cashed is concerned. The following bookmakers have signified their intention of going to Benning: Sol Lichtenstein. William Beverly, Dan Donnelly, Orlando Jones, Charles Heney, T. B. Alexander, 13. J. Callahan. L. Gilbert, George Levy, M. Man-lieimer, M. .Marks. P. Morgan, II. Quinu. Mark Reardoti. Harry Cohen, Henry Schopps, William Snow, Leo Schwatts and Peter McGrath. Of the prominent players. George Wheelock. Ike Hakclberg, Al Stokes. J. Moran and others will be on the ground as usual. Clubhouse commissioners will be there in force John Walters, Frank More, It. C. Doggett, Billy DuBois and one or two others. Billy Cowcu has closed up shop with the end of Aqueduct. It is said that he has had a bad season.
