JOCKEY TAYLOR WELL THOUGHT OF. Lexington, Ky., November 15. Jockey Tommy Taylor, for whose services at New Orleans this winter Al Mathews, the New York turfman, is negotiating, was born in Lexington, but was reared in Franklin county. He is eighteen years old and has been riding since May 21. 1904. He had his first mount in a race on that date at Latonia, when lie finished third to Premus witli Lady Draper, which was then trained by his brother Jerry Taylor, who is yet a young man and whose connection with the turf dates back only seven years. Tommy Taylor rode his first winning race on Lady Chariot at the Fort Erie summer meeting in 1904. He is a bright boy whose parents have taught him well and he Is highly regarded in this community. It would be hard to convince anyone in this vicinity that he was guilty of a criminal act when he was suspended because of the defeat of Barnsdale at Louisville last spring. !
