Ten Oaks, within striking distance always, outstayed St. George Jr. for third place. The latter, away badly, closed a big gap. Hush, shuffled back at the half, made up some ground. Sea Air helped make the early pace, but was forced out of position on the far turn and lost several lengths, then just failed to get up In a whirlwind rush. Alice Cary forged into the lead on the far turn, but tired finally. Meada had a rough trip all the way and was given a bad ride. Peggy ONeal improved her position. Netting dropped out early.
