BRIGHTON HANDICAP IN THE LEAD. New York. January 8. — The only additions to the big handicaps received today are the following four to the Brighton: Montgomery. 4: Tony Faust, 4; Fncle. :;: Meelick. 3. This puts the Brighton Handicap at the lop of the list with sixty-one entries, one more than the Suburbau to date. Meelick is in the Brighton only. The Futurity of 1910 now has 9ol nominations. The stewards of the Jockey Club are expected to meet tomorrow and confirm the dates of the various clubs for 1908. The breeding bureau has been presented with the chestnut stallion. Arabo, by Nomad— Charm, by Lawrence Mulligan. He has been shipped from New Orleans but Is not assigned as yet. William Lakeland has eight two-year-olds at Brighton Beach, five colts and three fillies, and all of his own breeding. The majority are by Gold crest, and some of them are fine lookers. Electioneer looks fine but has been tired. Abe Levy and Maxey Blumeiithal leave in a few lays for Los Angeles.
