Plantland showed superior early speed for three-quarters, but tired badly in Hie stretch drive. Flavigny had no mishaps and ran fairly well. Donna lacked early speed and ran far below her best form. Pasadena ran as if he disliked the going and can do much better. Chief Hayes, prominent for the first three furlongs, got into the deep going on the first turn and could not recover his lost ground.
