Stray raced El Bernado into early defeat and appeared the winner when a sixteenth out, but tired suddenly near the end, Daisy Frost finished fast under the whip. Toddy Hodge ran well to the stretch, but tired iu the final drive. Lisbia finished well. El Bernado ran a good half and retired. Scratched— 67742 Playlit. 103. Steel, under keen urging all through the final quarter, tired only iu the last few strides. Who ran fairly well, but tired in the final sixteenth.
