ANTE-POST EPSOM DERBY BETTING. Formerly by this time Derby betting was very heavy in England, but such is not now the case. Still some speculation has been recorded and there has been moderate backing for the half dozen or so first choices. Of this Sporting Life of February 5 says: "The only future event wagering that transpired was on the Epsom Derby, and that was uneventful.
