LONDON BETTING ON SPRING HANDICAPS. Of the latest ante-post betting on the big spring races London Sporting Life of February 26 says: "The Lincolnshire Handicap wagering was agaiu fairly bright, especially concerning the favorite. Land League, which was supported at 10 to 1 to win somewhere about 0,000, and it is just doubtful if these odds will be obtainable tomorrow. Kaffir Chief was supported occasionally at 100 to 8. and it will be observed that The Bedouiii advanced to 500 to 35. and in one instance fourteen ponies were taken, whereas the. stable companion, Bella-trir, retired to 20 to 1 without takers. Portland Bay was dealt with at 100 to 7, and this became the best tender for Duke of Sparta after fifteen ponies had been laid. Succory was backed for a pony at 20 to 1, and minor sums went on Athl at 25 to 1. "The Grand National was again quiet, but Ascetics Silver and Roman Law each went out to 100 to 7. while Tom West hardened to 10 to 1. Seisdon Prince at 100 to 7 and Leinster at 100 to 6 were the only candidates we saw baeked. Prices: The Lincolnshire Handicap. Distance, one mile. Run Tuesday, March 24.1 Horse. Age.
