Sea Swell ran into a long lead from a fast beginning, then tired slightly in the stretch and allowed Elizabeth Ilarwood to gain rapidly, bet won well in hand. Elizabeth Harwood, always in closest pursuit, finished gamely and runs like a stayer. Pocotaligo, away well, was always closest to the leaders and stood the Baal drive gamely. Grotto finished we.l and had no mishaps. Lady Haniiuon ran a good race and wuld have been much closer up but for going wide throughout. Shone tired in the stretch. AI Muller was sent into the had at once and. maintaining a fast pace throughout, had Toy Boy driving hard in the last sixteenth and won after a shaking up in the last few strides. Toy Boy was aB a.vs in nearest pursuit and finished fast and gamely. The Bear was raced into a pocket in the first r%ree furlongs, went wide into the stretch and tired badly in the last sixteenth. Iscutchoon had to be hard ridden for the first half to keep close to Ilandzarra. but went into the lead in the stretch and won eased up. Miss Strome ran a good race, closed a big gap and outstayed Hannibal Bey in a hard finish. Hannibal Bey was always prominent and suffered from interference when Escutcheon cut him off in the first three furlongs. Ilandzarra showed the most early speed and quit badly in the last furlong. The others were never serious contenders, but Harold D. will show improvement. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Brougham ran a sparkling race and but for the bumping in the stretch might have won. Irrigator had a clear course all the way and came with a rush through the stretch.
