Seattle, from a striding start, drew out quickly, held sway very gamely to the eud and is a grand filly. Mozart ran in close quarters and pocketed in behind the leader all the way under a timid ride. Wood-lander from an inside start, was repeatedly bumped, but closed an immense gap and probably was best, erne Thatcher ran in forward contention to the last sixteenth and tired. Orcott finished well and is a good looker. Valjean got away badly and was carried to the extreme outside on the turn and had no daiM-e afterwards. The Drake finished boring out from a slow start. Hie Mist from a good start was outpaced in the early running, came along fast in the stretch, caught tie leaders tiling and made good decisively at the end. Fireball, from a flying outside start, set a stiff pace and drew out into a long lead, but finished tiring and was a lucky second. Sugarmaid began slowly, but ran in nearest and strenuous pursuit of Fireball throughout and was short. Bucolic liegan slowly, but steadily improved his poatthM and made a cyclonic finish. Johnny Lyons, out of place in sprints, was well nil all the wav and is very good. Walter Miller, away badly, closed a big gap. Burning Bush, away badly, was used up in overhauling and racing in the middle running with the pacemaker. Squire Johnson UM .laneta finished well, but the latter had no chance with her bad jockey. The latter was saved for over a mile, then came on into the lead, but tired in the closing drive. Bed Leaf ran under reserve for a mile and a half, then moved up menacingly, but finally quit badly. Byronerdale ran to his best recent form. Fulletta showed speed, but failed to stay. Royal Maxim made the middle running, but quit badly in the last half. The winner was entered for ,500; nobid. Vinton ran in forward pursuit of the leaders to the stretch and tired, but was a game second. Carthaginian steadily improved his position from a poor start into a fast going third. Pontotoc, away badly, took the extreme outside all the way and had no chance. Sam McGibben made the running fcr six furlongs and tired, but finished well. Lone Wolf made up ground in the last half. Cloyne broke poorly and closed up steadily throughout into a fast going and close up fourth. Whidden loomed up on the far turn, lint tired in the stretch and belongs elsewhere.
