Yada broke slowly on the inside and waa shuffled back early, but closed a gap and finished with a rush. Sevorton, from a flatfooted start, made up much ground in a whirlwind finish. Red Ball, from a bad start, was gaining rapidly to the stretch. Cascade of Diamonds steadily improved his position. Hector showed speed, but iuit. Lassen was virtually left. Import drew MR at the start and set the early pace, then relinquished the lead on the backstretch and afterwards followed the pacemaker closely to the stretch and finally made good decisively. Fred Bent was rushed into the lead after going the first quarter and showed the way to the stretch, then succumbed readily o Import and finished tiring badly. Grace :. rapidly improved her position in the last half into a fast going third. Janeta, away poorly, closed a big gap. Tavora dropped out unexpectedly at the half and her race is to be thrown out. Husky, knocked to his knees on the first turn. worked through a rougli journey clear to the end and but for being sharply cut off near the finish would have won, anyhow. Buto. swerving badly on the first turn and in the stretch, finished a fast going third and hi much improved. Be Thankful, from a flatfooted start, was reserved in the early running and carried wide on the last turn, then tired finally. San Gil, after early forward contention, failed to stay. Sevenfull outbroke the others and set the pace last, but tired after strenuous contention with the favorite. Ocean Shore had a rough journey all the way and finished fast. Head Dance closed a gap.
