SUPERINTENDENT HAMMOND BADLY HURT. Lexington, Ky., March 13.— Clifford Hammond, superintendent of E. R. Bradleys Idle Hour Farm. was seriously injured while rolling the track at the farm this afternoon. He fell from the seat of the roller which he was driving and the heavy instrument was drawn over his legs and the lower portion of his body. One of his legs was broken and he is believed to have been injured internally. "Inless we can get the anti-poolroom bill to the first reading in the house tomorrow, it is killed." said representative William Klair tonight. "The committee on rules will meet at nine oclock tomorrow morning and we who favor the passage of the measure, will urge that it be given its first reading. If this is successful the measure will have its second reading Monday and be put on Its passage Tuesday, the day on which the legislature will adjourn." Pink Star, winner of the Kentucky Derby last year, arrived from New Orleans tonight. He is touched in the wind and will probably be sent to Hal Woodfords farm in Bourbon county. In the same car came John Whitlaws Irfaneh. She will be trained by Walter Grater.
