MONTREAL JOCKEY CLUBS SPRING STAKES. The conditions governing entries to the seven Mak. s offered by the Montreal Jockey Club for de-elsion during the spring meeting to be held next June at the Blue Bonnets course have l een announced. The Kings Plate, for three-year-olds and over, owned, foaled, raised and trained in the province of Quebec, that have never won a race, either on the Mat or across country, have never left Canada, and Jiave not been out of the province of Quebec since January I. 1908, are eligible to run for the fifty guineas annually given by bis majesty. King Kd-Ward VII.. and 50 added by the club. This is the most important race of the meeting and its running brings to the beautiful race course all the elite of Montreal and Quebec. Next in importance is the Mount Royal Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at one mile and a quarter, which is the same distance as the Kings Plate. Entries close April 30.
