All Red, away fast, followed close up from the start and, wearing Zarane down after a slight shaking up; outstayed her at the end. Zarape showed the most early speed and tinlshed gamely under punishment. Peter Pender ran well and had no mishaps, but tired slightly in the iinal furlong. Tannic was gaining fast in the stretch and had to go wide most of the trip. Dr. Mayer ran fairlv well and will improve. lustier and Anile can do better. Bitter Sir was much used in the early running in racing with Gresham. but held on gamely and outstayed the latter in the iinal strides. Gresham set the early pace and finished gamely, but tiring. Anna Smith ran fairly well and, better ridden, would have been closer un. Enlist was taken all over the track and ran a good race. Canada tired badly after going a good half. Floreal ran sluggishly and had to overcome interference, but finished gamely and, with a clear course, would have been closer up. Marshy saved much ground all the way and tired slightly near the end. Many Colors was away poorly and made up ground. Landlord closed a big gap. Norbit Hynes was knocked back soon after the start. Charlotte Hamilton led to the stretch and quit.
