DALLAS PEOPLE LIKE THE RACES. Dallas. Tex., October 2S. It looks as if the people of Dallas have gone racing mad. Fifteen thousand persons attended yesterdays races and witnessed some capital sport. Among the large and enthusiastic crowds seen every day at the track are men of prominence in the state, judges of the higher courts, well-known lawyers and business men. les-terday Governor Campbell visited the Fair Grounds and was the guest of Judge Murphy in the stand when Orbicular won. The governor of Texas is evidently not a Governor Hughes. Charles Campau. paddock judge, is of the opinion that, "if all the racing was conducted as that at.Dallas uuder the management of men who are under the direction of the city government, there would he no question of the future and popularity of racing all over the country."
