Winter-green, away fast and clear of interference, showed much the most speed and won all the way with ease, cola moved into closest contention after going a furlong and stayed well in the final drive. Anne McGee had no mishaps and ran a good race. Alice George, from a slow beginning, closed a big gap and was going fast at the end. Hawkslight also made up ground and ran well.
