MINOR GOSSIP FROM THE BLUE GRASS. Lexfugton. ICy., November 21. With the shipment of the Wheatcroft horses to Los Angeles, John Bodegap. who had been traluing the two-year-olds Erench Cook and Woolwitider and six yearlings that were sold bv Colonel Young to the master of the St James Stable, is replenishing his string. A day or two ago he took up from the Caveland Stud two Yearlings bv Handsel, one a filly out of Elzarrn and ihe other a colt out of Mowitzka. a daughter of Onondaga. The Elzarra fily, of course, is a full ulster to the speedy Handzarra and Halifax. Walter Grater has turned out the good colt. Dr. Barklcy, and will send the speedy lilly, Irfaneh, to the farm next wct;k. Ethelda lie is keeping up to blister. Lady Vie stays in training in the hope that there may be something doiug at New Orleans or Hot Springs. Grater has a promising yearling colt bv Allan-a-Dale Lightaway. Dillard Hill left here Wednesday night with twelve horses for Havana. They are a cheap lot and he savs he does not expect to bring any of them back. "They are the kind that I can afford to take a chance with for a race or two and then sell off for something like 00 each," said he. W. A. Smith is out of racing entirely and has gone to Mississippi to go luto business with his brother.
