WHEATCROFT RACERS SENT WEST. Lexington, Ky., November 21. Irving II. AVheat-croft shipped this afternoon to Los Angeles in charge of Dave Peel, who has been employed as superintendent of the- St. James Stud, fourteen thoroughbreds, to be trained and raced at Santa Anita in the name of the St. James Stable by Lou Marion. The list is as follows: Miss Sain. Alma Dufour, Grande Dame, Elizabeth Harwood. French Cook, Woolwinder and the following yearlings: Alfred the Great, b. or br. c. by Cesarion Anecdote; Victoria Cross, blk. c. by Migraine Guesswork: Empress of India, b. f. by hem-pronius .lohnetta; Ireland, b. f, by Cesarion .Marie Stoops; bay or brown lilly, by Cesarion Hue; bay colt, by Inspector B. Lena H.; bay filly, by StanhopeCharm, and chestnut lilly. by Allan-a-Dale Good Manners. Ireland was purchased this morning from W. J. Young after showing a quarter yesterday afternoon iu 2."? seconds. The Good Manners lilly was also purchased this morning from T. C. McDowell. The other yearlings, together with French Cook and Woolwinder, have been in charge of the veteran trainer. John Bodegap. and nre in excellent condition. They will be ready to race iu less than live weeks and are worth remembering.
