LA SAGESSE. OAKS WINNER. DEAD. London. Eng.. June 1. — The famous broodmare. I. a Sagesse. died a few days ago at Sir John Tlunsbvs Blink P.onny Stud. She was by Wisdom, out of St Mary, by Hermit, and that she was a good class nicer was proved in IMS. when she won the Oaks lor her then owner, the late Sir .1. Miller. 1-1 Sagesse was purchased by Sir John Thursby from Sir J. Miller some years ago for a large sum. She produced some good foals — a line tilly by Rock Sand, which, however, has since died, and another bv John o tiaunt. Since her last foal she has never done well.
