BUSY IS AGAIN VICTORIOUS GALORE COLT WINS HIS FOURTH STRAIGHT RACE ON CANADIAN CIRCUIT. Triumphs Over Flying Squirrel at Even Weights— Piute Sets Terrific Pace in Winning His Raoe at Blue Bonnets. Montreal. Qne.. June 18. — Racing at Bine Bonnets this afternoon, was- under miserable conditions. The Weatber was cold and raw. showers fell all afternoon, the track was deep and heavy and the only tiling that made amends for those brave enough to visit the Course was the success of the favorites, four of which won. Three of them — Setback. Bus. and Piute — were at odds-on. Silk Hose was the other winning favorite. Goldsteia piloted the last three named. A majority of the races were reduced to three and four liorse affairs by withdrawals and the winners in all but the closing race scored bv consid-eraWe margins. The third race proved easy for Piute. This good-looking son of Btbelbert is a mod runner of the first order. He siroplv romped in the going today and set a terrific pace* Goldstein bad him vell in. hand all the way. and at no time during the running was the result in doubt. The finish found Piute with three lengths to spare, winning with his ears pricking. Piute had assumed an easy lead soon after the start, drew awav from his opponents going around the far turn aud won hard held. The pace was .f*st. the first quarter -beinft run in 24* and the half mile In 49 . Lljthc Wool, which finished second, was hard ridden In the stretch, but was unable to improve his position Setback ran in blinkers in the opening dash and. acting much better at the post, he left the barrier with the leaders and got in his stride much quicker than In his previous races. He won with aln -: ridiculous ease. Busy, which was starting for the first time in the colors of his new owner. De Lorde McGibbon. had little trouble to beat the speedy FIv ing Squirrel at even weights. The latter showed in front for about three furlongs, but in the stretch Busy moved up. assumed the* lead and won going away. Silk Hose carried the Shaughnessv colors to victory for the first time since she was purchased of S. C. Hildreth last year. She was one of the starters in a race that called for Province-owned horses and was favorite. Goldstein, who had the mount, rode a confident race. He trcUetT the leader until entering the homestretch, where he moved up and took the lead and won with something in reserve at the end. a length in advance of Sally Cohen. The best contest of the afternoon came with the running of the closing race, won by Mozart. The latter drew away into a big lead at one stage, but In the stretch lie weakened badlv and at the end was driving to the limit to outlast Bine Coat. The latter was rapidly wearing the winner down and was beaten only a neck. Long Service, a starter In the lumping race. Is one of the biggest horses in training. He stands 17.1 and is a horse of excellent conformation The Valley Farm Stable left for Hamilton tonight Mrs. I.. A. Livingstons string was shipped to Sheepshead Bay. while Adam Beck and J. H. Madi-gan sent their horses on to Hamilton.
