PLANS FOR INGALLS PARK MEETING. August 28 Set Apart as Chicago Day, with Full Card of Running Races. Joliet. 111.. June 18, — Preparations for the proposed mixed inciting at Ingalls Park are progressing satisfactorily. In addition to a four-days program of harness racing, with two running races each day. Saturday. August 28, has been set apart for the limners exclusively, and will be known us "Chicago Day." There will be six or seven races carded for the afternoon, with purses sufficiently large to attract a fair class of horses. Harness horsemen are enthusiastic over the prospect of the reopening of Ingalls Park on the big scale proposed, but It is doubtful if they will have the track to themselves. Although the management at Joliet disclaims anv such purpose, there are well defined rumors that should the last day of the fair prove popular with the crowd, arrangements will be made to continue the running meeting indefinitely.
