Mr. Freed has neat a biting letter P. the public press, in which he declares himself out of sympathy with the dominating policy of J. C. McDonald, president of the association, who was sustained by the board after having announced on his own responsibility that the Itah Jockey Clubs lease of the Fair Crounds track would Im- canceled June 25. Mr. McDonald has announced that betting will not be permitted in connection with the races at the state fair next fall.
