Start good- Won driving: second and third the samp. 1 awver Millar ran under slight restraint, followed the pacemakers closely, came through on the insiite when tillering the homestretch and outstayed Hold Front in the final drive. Sold Front lost much ground on Hie turn for home, where lie was taken very wide, but finished gamely. King Holladay unseated his rider while at tlie post and ran away a half mile, had a rough trip in the race and met with much interference and might have won but for his misfortunes. Turf Star forced a fast early pace to the Stretch turn, where she tiuickly disposed of Fereno and drew away into an easy lead. Autumn Oirl. on the inside all the way. saved ground on every turn and outgamed liiiiiitleroy in the final drive. The latter ran on the outside all the way and covered more ground than any other horse In the race. Fereno showed speed, but quit after going three furlongs. Scratched— 82908 Chief Kec. 114. The wiiin-r was worked out a mile and a sixteenth and twenty yards in 1:49%. a part of his preparation for the Canadian D-rby.
