CONVICTED BOOKMAKERS PAY FINE. New Orleans. La., July 15. Placide Frigerio and Robert M. Sheffield, who were convicted of violating the Locke law by operating a betting-lwok at City Park race track, today paid their fines of 50 each. The Board of Pardons commuted their sentences so far as fail service was concerned, but required payment ot the lines imposed on them.
