Miss Crittenden, outpaced early, closed up steadily in the last half and made a persistent finish. Billy Bodemer was a prominent contender for five furlongs and tired as if short. Adriuche, nearly left, closed an Immense early gap too quickly and tired consequently. County Fair, away poorly, made up much ground. Trois Temp was well up all the way. Summer Night was crowded out early and had scant chance afterwards. Takahira lapped the pacemaker lor a half mile and quit badly. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Pins and Needles, lucky and . forwardly placed in the early running, just failed to get up in a belated fast finish and Is in rare form. Dr. Bark-ley drew out in the .first Tiuarter and set a stiff pace for a mile, but tired In the final sixteenth. Ardrl ran well up throughout.
