HAS HIGH REGARD FOR CAUGHNAWAGA. Saratoga. N. Y., August 13. Trainer Hyner of the Sanford Stable predicts that Caughuawaga, a great favorite here some seasons ago. will send some good horses to the races. He is now standing at llurricatia Stud, where he was foaled. Hyner considers him the best horse ever bred at Hurricaua. The courageous son of Clifford won Hyners . regard in 1005 when he won the Saratoga Handicap. Caughuawaga ran coupled in that race with Molly Brant and the Sanford entry was played by most of the wise folk because of Molly. But the little mare was no match for him. Subsequently ho took up a big impost and galloped a mile in 1:38. If Caughuawaga had been trained for speed instead of muning at the longer distances. Hyner believes he would have left as great a reputation as a sprinter as did Chuctanuuda. He could run as swiftly as Molly Brant when Hyner handled him. Hyner is anxious to get a good-looking Caughnawagti colt to train. It will be a couple of years before his desire can be gratified.
