Alfred Noble outclassed his opposition, ran in nearest and leisurely pursuit of the pacemaker to the last turn, then drew out under a pull and won as his rider pleased. Tony Bonero, well up throughout, outstayed the others for second place and is good. Black Oak ran in hailing distance, but trailed for half of the journey, then closed up with a rush in the stretch and is promising. Fort Johnson, prominent early, was shuliled back steadily on the turns and going well at the end under an inadequate finish. George AV. Alice Baird, after forward and persistent pursuit, wore the leader down in a long closing drive. Rubia Granda drew out hi the first stride and threatened to spreadcagle the others, but tired badly finally and succuuiIhmI in the last stride. Mombassa had a rough journey, was crowded on the far turn, but came through on the inside in close quarters and got up for third place in the last two strides. Sundance broke slowly and moved up rapidly ou the stretch turn, but failed to stay finally. Summer Night, kicked at the post and making a llatfooted start, trailed for the first half and was gaining fast in tlie stretch. Imitator ran in nearest and strenuous pursuit for six furlongs and quit badly. Gloriole was always outpaced. Skyo. away poorly, showed brief early speed, but retireil quickly. Odd Rose, from a Hying outside start, led for five furlongs before tiring and Is promising. Helen Carroll ran in nearest early pursuit, but tired and swerved badly at the end and was disqualified for foul. Gerando ran forwardly for five furlongs, but tired and is palpably short. Top Notch, away badly, closed a big gap. Fereno. from a slow start, was outpaced hopelessly to the stretch, but finished well. Moltke met early interference and, after pulling up on the far turn, quit finally. Olevia loomed up well on he stretch turn, but tired. Dominica retired early. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Miss Kearney, luckily placed and reserved for half of the journey, closed up rapidly on the outside into a fast going, but lucky, second. Zipango ran on the inside in striking distance attendance and loomed up on the far turn, but was sharply shut off and dropiied back to last, then could not get up for second place in a fast and game, but unavailing, effort. Pins and Needles, well up from the start, gained rapidly in the third quarter, but was crowded by the Inside horses and tired filially. Quantico ran in inside forward pursuit for the first mile, but was ; hampered badly in the final furlong of the stretch and just failed to get up in a final rush. .Belleview trailed too far back for hiilf of the journey and could never quite get up in a sensational closing sprint. Albert Star ran well up for the first mile, but dropiied back in tlie stretch. Right Guard was well up in 1 the last quarter and is improving. Killiecrankie lapped the pacemaker early, but quit badly lu the stretch. Tonv Faust failed to stav and is in xor form. The winner was entered for ,000; 110 bid. Scratched S1070 Michael Beck. VaroiV Dieskau had no mishaps, was prominently placed from tlie start, but tired and was crowded badly in the final strides. Mazarin. awav poorly to a llatfooted start, was outpaced badly for half of the Journey and closed a big gap at the end. Little Friend finished close up after a rough journey.
