Only a trio of horses tried conclusions m tin mile selling race. The presence of Red River, the Canadian sprinting champion, and Kyebright. a racer of note, from Itoyond the Rockies", enhanced interes; in the race, and complicated form. In the actual running both were badly beaten by the rejuvenated Berkeley, the surprise of the race ltelng Red Rivers seeming inability to reduce the winners lead at any stage of the running.
