Starover ran a good race and would have been second in a few more strides. Hickory Stick, from a slow beginning, came with a rush and with a better send-off would have been second. Sociable and J. Procla made a good effort for the first three-quarters, but tired in the last three furlongs from being in the worst going. Bitter Hand quit after going a good half.
