I. H. WHEATCROFTS BREEDING PLANS. Lexington. Ky., vAugust 2G. Irving n. Wheat-croft arrived last night from Canada and went to Woodburn Farm Ids morning to inspect his yearlings that are to be sold at Sheepshead Day September 3. -Mr. Wheatcroft had not seen tils youngsters since January and expressed himself as very much pleased with their appearance. He said today that he intends to remove the St. James Stud from Woodburn Farm to a location nearer Lexington. His lease at Woodburn expires Novemlier 1 and the transfer of the stallions Cesarion and Yorkshire Lad. together with mares and foals to the number of more than a hundred, will he made at that time. He has not definitely decided upon tlie location, but is of the impression that it will be at either Oak-wood Farm, now under lease to the Millstream Stud, or La Itelle Farm, owned by Hal P. Headley and formerly the seat of the establishments of II. Eugene Leigh and the late W. C. Whitney. Mr. Wheatcroft has a proposition from Andrew Miller that he buy the lease of the Millstream Stud on Oakwood Farm, and is now engaged in correspondence on tin; subject. lie will have a conference with Mr. Miller in New York next week. Mr. Wheatcroft says he will send a dozen marcs to a farm near Hamilton, Out., during the coming winter that they may foal in Canada and be eligible to numerous races for Canadian horses. He has not selected the mares yet. On September S Mr. Wheatcroft will sail for England to spend alxmt a mouth with relatives in his native land.
