WHITNEY AND BELMONT HORSES UNPLACED. London. Eng., August 20. The Middlcthorpe Selling Handicap of 150 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, distance six furlongs, was run .it York today and was won by Saucy Queen. Athlete was second and Cinder Path third. Among the eleven starters was August Itelmonts Laconian. Tlie Giuicraek Stakes of live sovereigns each, with 1.000 sovereigns added, for two-year-olds, distance six furlongs, was won by Lilly Rose. Salamanca was second and War Lord third. II. P. Whitneys Artless was among the ten starters, but did not get :i place. Tlie Harewood Handicap Plate of 500 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, distance live furlongs, was won by Calient. Poor Hoy was second and Fallen Angel third. H. P. Whitneys Delirium was among the unplaced starters.
