FALL YEARLING SALES START AUSPICIOUSLY. Satisfactory Average of 57 Realized for Thirty-Nine Juveniles at Sheepshead Bay Yesterday. New York. August .11. Of the forty-five yearlings, the property of Milton Young. Thomas Piatt. John I. Carr, II. N. Davis, George II. Whitney. Benjamin Woodford. 11. II. McC. Potter and the Lconatus Stock Farm scheduled for sale at auction in the Sheepshead Bay paddocks of the Fasig-Tipton Company todav, five were not shown and one failed to elicit a bid. Four of the live not offered were those of Benjamin Woodford. The one which failed to bring out a hid was the chestnut filly by Ort Wells .Middy -Morgan In the Lconatus Stock Farms consignment. . . . . ... The remaining thirty-nine head brought a total of 1,725. which represented the excellent average of 57 per head. iMilton Youngs stock brought the highest prices. It. L. Thomas, who was prominent in the bidding, paid top price of ,700 for a bay. colt bv Cesarion Fleur dOr. a half-brother to the Latonla Derbv winner. Hand dOr. He also got a Cesarion Miss Ulchniond colt for SI. 000. and a Cesarion Hurrah filly for ,300. Another filly, by Cesarion Bretzel. brought ,000. She was purchased by II. L. Shaw. Captain E. B.
