Selwik, much the best, went into the lead at once and was never in danger of defeat. Soil ran well and was In closest pursuit all the wav. Sinfran gained steadily from a poor beginning and finished fast, although bearing out in the last seventy yards. Mapleton ran well and would have been second with good riding. Lizzie Flat followed the others close up over the first eight fences, then dashed into the lead and won cantering. Clas Leader was in active contention from the start, but tired over the last three jumps. Bergoo ran a Had "race anil can ilo much better. Canvas showed the most speed for the first round of the course, but tired badly at the end. John Dillon lost his rider after going over the third jump. Meadow began slowly and lost ground by going wide, but finished with great speed and courage. Tom Hayward suffered from interference in the first half and closed a big gap in the last quarter. Little Osage showed the most speed for three-quarters, but tired .thereafter. Eui-peror William propped at the start and was far back all the way. Inflection, away forwardly, set a fast pace from the start and, being well ridden in the final drive, outstayed English Esther. The latter ran well, but was inadequately ridden and swerved badly at a critical point and probably was best today. Fearnaught II., in close quarters most of the way, ran a good race. Colonel Jot was in active contention most of the way. Jack Straw was knocked back soon after the start and came with a rush in the stretch. Chief Kee suffered from much Interference. La Toupee tired after going a half. Lumeu ran fairly well. The winner was entered for 1,000; no bid. St. Jeanne, away fast and showing the most speed for the entire trip, stood the final drive gamely and held Anna L. Daley safe through the last furlong. Anna L. Daley ran well up for the entire trip, but was not good enough to beat the winner today. Woodlane was a sharp contender for five furlongs and tired.. Mrs. Sewall came from far back in the stretch and ran a good race. Clolstercss quit badly after going a good half. Alice George was away in a tangle and raced into a contending position in the first three furlongs, but gave way in the stretch. Bertha E. tired in the stretch. Florcal, away fast and running forwardly for the entire trip, came away fast in the last furlong and won easing up. Kenmare Queen ran a good race and, after following Grenesque closely, wore him down in the last quarter, but tired a trifle at the end. Grenesque set the pace and tired after showing much speed for three-quarters. Ieligroso ran a good race and closed a big gap after suffering from a rough early trip. Agnes Wood showed speed. Woolstone had a rough trip and was taken wide most of the way. Conville showed a brief flash of speed. Banridge and Hartiug would not start. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
