AMERICANS UNPLACED AT DERBY. London, Kng.. September 2. The Elvaston Nursery Plate handicap of 200 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, distance live furlongs, was won at Derby today by Holy Wind. Carry Nation was second and joldeu Legend third. Among the twenty starters was August Belmonts Boudoir. The Peveril of the Peak Plate, a handicap of 1.000 son-reigns, for three-year-olds and upward, over the straight mile, was won by Christmas Daisy, with Anson second and Hanover Square third. Twenty-one horses started, including H. P. Whitneys Perseus III. and Stamina. The Abbotshlll Selling Plate, a highweight handicap of 150 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, over the straight mile, was won by Combine, with Uoinan Knight second and Marathon II. third. Fifteen horses started, including August Belmonts Laconian.
