Lad of Langden, from a slow start, steadily Improved his position into a fast going "second. Twilight Queen, away very badly, closed an immense gap and finished a close up third. Black Mary ran in forward and persistent pursuit throughout, but tired slightly in the closing strides. Homecrest made up much ground and Is improving. Woodcraft ran well up throughout. Earls Court outbroke and outpaced the others for live furlongs and retired and probably was short. Blacksheep ran In keen contention for six furlongs, but failed to stay. Goldlinn showed brief early speed. Fleming tired. Dr. Holzberg was pulled up at the start and only cantered the journey. The winner was entered for ,000; no bid. Expansionist ran In nearest, but distant, pursuit and his challenge was loo long delayed to be effective. Essex II. held forth in the rear badly outrun, but came on and saved third place after Bobbin Around stumbled at the last jump. Sandy Creeker was never a serious contender and hopelessly outpaced all the way. Bobbin Around was forwardly placed from the start and had a good chance for second place when he stumbled and un-seated his rider a furlong out. Interpose ran forwardly and gamely throughout and was a fast going third after meeting Interference on the turn. Cellaret, away poorly, improved her position rapidly and loomed up on the stretch turn, but tired in the closing drive. Howdy Howdy, shullled rearward early, made a fast closing stretch effort and is promising. St. Deiniol. prominent for half of the journey, quit badly and was pulled up. King James appeared big and high, set the pace briefly and then maintained persistent, but unavailing, pursuit of the winner to the end and is extra good, but palpably short.
