SCHWARTZ YEARLINGS COMING WEST. New York. September 9. Morton and Charles Schwartz are now tlie owners of a stable of eight line-looking yearlings which "Bub" May will break for them this fall and train next season. The last yearling purchased by May for his new employers was a chestnut colt by Islington, out of Walter Jennings famous race mare. Dainty, for which he paid ,000. This colt was the star of the Blue Ilidge sale and the horsemen who have looked him over predict that he will make a first-class route traveler. May will winter the Schwartz horses iu Kentucky. Ho will start south iu a day or two. The Schwartzes have no horses to race and they do not see the use of keeping their yearlings hereabouts any longer than is necessary. The action of the Messrs. Schwartz iu putting a good round sum of money into yearlings at this time is generally commended by horsemen. They paid good prices for their youngsters, thereby manifesting a confidence in the future of racing that should encourage others.
